Mission Statement

Much criticism has been leveled at the practice of law, lamenting the perception that it has become a business rather than a profession.  We at Strand & Associates understand and concur with this criticism.  The mission of Strand & Associates, therefore, is to embody certain critically important professional attributes within the context of a successful business.  Those attributes are:

1.  Integrity.   We do not distinguish between clients when it comes to the quality of our representation.  All of our clients, large and small, rich and poor, are entitled to our best efforts at all times.  Further, when we make promises to our clients we keep those promises.  Should an emergency arise, the nature and consequences of the emergency will be promptly communicated to the client.

2.  Competence.    We commit to keeping up-to-date on the latest developments in the law in our practice areas and to fully understanding the nature of our clients’ interests.

3.  Compassion.  Strand & Associates recognizes that the practice of law is a privilege, not a right.  In exchange for that privilege, we are honored to provide legal services for the benefit of society without expectation of compensation (i.e., pro bono). 

4.  Civility.  By its nature, the practice of law is often about conflict and competition.  However, a true professional knows that even the most zealous advocate need not resort to rudeness, name-calling, or otherwise improper conduct.
